Fabrics can make or mar the total effect of home decoration. After all the hard work done by you in selecting colors, themes, furniture lastly you need to be very selective when it comes to fabrics. There are numerous home decorating fabrics and decorative trims and in such situations choosing the right one becomes very crucial in the overall scheme of decoration theme. The problem usually faced by people is almost all of them manage to generate a sort of emotional response from them and one way or other all of them look beautiful. People start imagining the looks of house in combination with the fabric and plenty of choices create further confusion. The wide variety of fibers and designs generates problem of plenty. In recent times, many new color, textile and pattern have been introduced.

However, we can do well with some sort of planning. The basic factors you need to consider is the purpose of fabric, the usage and who will be using what item. One must think about how to clean home decorating fabric as well. Always apply your personal preferences for colors, textures and patterns. Don’t go for what is in vogue because what is ‘in’ today may be completely out of fashion tomorrow. So use your own taste. Choose aesthetically pleasing fabric so that the looks of the home is further enhanced by it.

Think about effect and then decide on the fabric. If you seek intensity, go for tapestries or velvet but if you are more of romantic and dreamy types then organza will serve the purpose perfectly. You can always experiment with different fabrics like grey flannel. Finally, always try to choose fabric that rightly complements the decoration of the room.
