The word bean bag usually brings to our minds – the furniture item that we use in our houses. A bean bag is actually a sealed bag that contains dried beans or what we call the PVC pellets. Bean bags are thus also used as an item or a prop in activities such as juggling.

No one can deny that sitting on large bean bag chair can relax you to a great extent. It is one of the most comfortable forms of furniture. For those who love to read or watch television will agree that the activities are too much fun when done while sitting on a bean bag. A bean bag chair also adds a great value to ones home décor apart from the utilities that it beholds. In fact, a great way to begin your Sunday morning is to sit on a bean bag chair and read the newspaper!

More and more people are seen using bean bags these days mainly because of the great utility that is provided at reasonable rate. Moreover a bean bag can be refilled and hence they last really long. In the olden days, bean bags were only made of genuine leather. They were popularly known as sac chairs. Though there weren’t many colors and designs to choose from, the quality of leather that was used then was truly very precious. Because there was a limitation of colour and design then, people refrained from buying them but today, there are innumerable colours, textures and designs to choose from. Thus leather bean bags have evolved and come a long way.

Unique, decorative and hand crafted mirrors are very much a priced possession and a great piece for home décor. Apart from the modern stylized mirrors, there are antique mirrors that have a historical value attached to them and hence are expensive in terms of money. Mirrors with different and beautiful frames attract everyone’s attention. Antique mirrors are often considered like a jewel of a room. The skilled craftsmanship and the unique styles and designs for mirrors allows one to make a statement that one wants to be it classic, romantic, bold, antediluvian etc.

If one does not wish to spend too much on the authentic antique mirrors, faux-antique mirrors are actually inexpensive and easy to make giving the customers an antique feel to their room without making a hole in their pocket.

Decorative mirrors appear best when placed near corners of the room; placing plants in front of them. An old grandmother’s mirror can also look quite antique in that space in the room which one always wanted to fill up. An old mirror in fact can be re-decorated and used according to the design and the color set up in the room.  If some old mirrors have been spotted, resilvering is the best option to make it look beautiful again.

Exotic make-up mirrors are a wonderful and a sophisticated option for a bedroom. Often old mirrors are silver plaited with floral designs on them. Their contemporary simplicity is what makes these mirrors a great piece of furniture in the room.

Mirrors usually enlarge a room’s space or brighten a dark area, or are used to reflect a chandelier or spectacular view. One of the important things to care of while handling and cleaning a mirror is that direct sunlight and humidity should be avoided. It can affect the wood frame of the piece or can also make the mirror spotted.
