Renovation is surely a planned investment. In case you are having sudden guests and would like to present your house in a different and latest style there is no need to spend much on renovation. Just include a few tips to revamp the interiors and arrange the furniture in a different way.
Include vases, pottery and clay mud pots artistically lined at the corners. Spruce up the corners which are much ignored. Use the old silk sari or the crushed bandhni dupatta to adorn the white china urn and buy a rug for the centre table. Cushion covers are the best way to give a new look to the interior. Get a few cylindrical pillows and do a floor arrangement with the spare mattress in the store room. Bed sheets of the jaipuri or kota material is more than enough to build the ethnic touch.
Get the satin bed sheets or linen for the bedrooms. Change the photos and just gloss up the frames. Arrange the curtains differently and get a few curtain holders in bright contrasting shades. Change the bedding in the guest room or pull up the divan/settee to a different placement. Side tables need not be the clichéd rectangles, go for raw wood finish in the conical shape or round ones. Use some acrylic colors and just paint in abstract designs on the clay pots and urns.
Select a neat layout for the passage and include a new stool or dustbin that is practical and has a lot of utility. Take a hard look at the bookshelf and pull out the latest novels and arrange them in a zig zag pattern or lop sided style. Restack the paperbacks and also go in for kiddy book section. Get a few of vintage furniture or moda chairs to complete the ethnic view of the interiors.
Villa houses can have much to do with façade arrangement and redoing the garden. Lighting the place with faux pas lanterns, diyas does much to convey warmth. Simple tricks make it easy to welcome guests and also enhance the homely atmosphere.
