With nuclear families mushrooming throughout the country, a separate children’s room is identified as a strong need. Most parents now want to give the best of everything to their little ones and this includes a comfortable attractive children’s room as well.  Of course, parents will function according to the budget that they have but within set boundaries as well, there is a lot that can make your children’s bedroom a fine fun place! Children love colours! Make their bedroom funky, colourful with lot of attractive accessories. For example: there are star and moon shaped toy figures that are available in the market that can be stuck to the wall and at night these figures shine in the dark making the room look beautiful. With nursery and play group children, stick a lot of pictures and posters of animals, plants, flowers etc. This will help them to learn about nature and environment quickly. Parents worry that their children will spoil the wall by colouring or drawing on it. In fact, parents should reserve a wall where a child can paint, draw and colour whatever he or she wishes to! This will let your child express what he wants to and also encourage the use of creativity and freedom of expression.

Also, children’s room can be decorated with wind chimes and curtains that have great designs on them. While shopping for things for your child’s bedroom you can take your child along so that he or she feels equally involved in the process of decorating their room.

In case of two children, a bunk bed is a good option to choose for as it saves space and looks attractive. Bunk beds are easily available in the market for around Rs. 10,000 onwards. You can also buy bean bags for your little ones. They are not just fun to sit on but also make for a good furniture piece. Also, use colours like yellow, red, orange, green, pink and blue that will make the room bright and child like!
