7a75-lapuk_bedroom3_eIn present times, having an oversized bedroom can be an exceptional luxury. Not everybody can afford it and certainly not everybody has it. But in case, you are the lucky one to have an oversized bed then decorating it can be a challenging but a creatively satisfying job. Making an oversized bedroom into something like a cosy room can be daunting but definitely not impossible. However, you can implement few décor ideas to make your bedroom a homeowner’s delight. The first rule is to keep it simple. Some people have the tendency to fill every corner of the room just because it’s huge. That’s a wrong approach. The only essential requirement in your bedroom is a bed which must be comfortable. Rest all other items are dispensable.

In an oversized bedroom, the bed must be put in the center of the room. If it faces the windows, nothing like it. If you seek privacy then you can add headboard or a dresser or a large armoire to the bed. You can always decorate the back of the dresser with your favourite fabric. It will go along well with the bed. Beds like sleigh are more suitable for this purpose as they have high headboards. You can also sue canopy beds. Next, you need to look for appropriate side tables. Go for round tables as they look great from all sides.

One wonderful idea of designing an oversized bedroom is to break it up into different zones like dressing, lounging or sleeping. Sleeping area is obvious. For lounging, add sofas and chairs to the bedroom. For dressing area, you should focus on armories, dressers and mirrors grouped together. Ideally, a large room should have large furniture. Get a California king bed with a double pillow top mattress and a low dresser without the mirror. Finally, think of the ways where you can perfectly utilize the shape of the room.
