Use plumb line on the wall before you start pasting the paper on the wall. Wallpaper should be wetted completely. Keep it in paper water bath if it is pre-pasted. Make sure to cover entire length of the paper if you are using adhesive on a non-prepasted paper. Use soft wallpaper brush to smooth down the paper on the wall. Sometimes, wallpapers create air bubbles. To smooth them out, use a hard bristled brush. The final tip pertains to wiping off the glue that seeps out at the edges. You can use a rag or damp sponge to get rid of the glue. Keeping all these suggestions in mind will result into a bright and cheerful room.

Always go for high quality paint brushes as cheap ones can spoil the fun of painting. It can also have a bad effect on paints in the long run. For water based paints, choose nylon bristles and for oil based paints, go for natural bristles. Good paint can make or mar the overall effect of interior décor.
