If you have artificial plants then they demand care and cleaning on a regular basis to remain in the pink of their health. Once these plants are few months old, they start gathering dust and dirt. As a result of that, they start losing their shine and appear old and brittle. The initial ‘natural’ look of their gives way to ‘artificial’. It will take just few minutes to clean them with water. Once the spraying is done, you can leave them in sunlight to dry.

You can also use a dry soft cloth and use it to clean each and every leaf of your artificial plant. This is quite time consuming but nevertheless effective. Using expensive sprays is another option that you can choose. These sprays make the flowers new and shiny again. But the sprays don’t really clean the dust. They just hide it for a while. You should try these cleaning methods at least every three to six months.

You can use the basket that blends with your room’s color scheme. These plants can act as strong focal points in your home. Those having monochromatic look often resort to using Hippeastrum, Peacock plant or flowering Azalea for maximum effect.

While selecting the houseplants make sure that, it fits the style of your room. Like if your home is decorated in Spanish or Mediterranean style, you should go for Bamboo plant or Dizgotheca Elegantissima plants that will provide a completely new look to your home. One popular choice is of Bonsai Plants or white orchids that provide ancient feel. Lavendar or Tolmiea Menziesii plants are ideal for Victorian style decoration.
