For any business, its office is of foremost importance. Having said that, it makes some sense to inject some much needed decoration ideas in the office environment. Office decoration not only helps in alleviating mood of the employees but also creates good impression in the minds of business visitors. At the same time, the theme of office decoration should be in sync with nature of the business. For example, one cannot afford to have dull and boring designs for an Advertisement agency or for that matter, a marketing organization.

 

Reception room perhaps is the most important place in an office. Reception actually sets the tone for the visitors. The importance of reception room can be understood from the facts that, here visitors come for the scheduled appointments, customers visit with their queries and prospective clients discuss business related issues. Reception area must be decorated in a reasonable and respectable fashion.

 

Good first impressions count a lot and that requires reception area to be decorated elegantly. Furniture plays a vital role in defining the outlook of reception area. The area must have a stylish and sleek table which could be circular or rectangular depending upon the space. The table must be kept clean on a regular basis. Lighting is another important factor here. Lighting should always be adequate, never too bright or too dull. It helps in creating right ambience.

 

Then comes the aspect of reception officer or clerk who should have a pleasant personality. It helps in dealing with the visitors and customers. Seating facilities should be enough and comfortable. The entire area must be well organized and well managed. Last but not the least, the decoration for reception area should be in tune with functionality.

Side tables are an important asset especially in a bedroom. Not only do they add volume and decor to the room but also are useful for placing important items that one may need before going to bed – e.g. medicines, torch, phone charger, glasses, table clock, table lamp etc. The side tables can also be known as a night stand or a night table.

Table were first made and used by Egyptians so that they could keep objects off the floor. The Chinese also created and used tables for writing and painting purposes. The Greeks and Romans started using tables for eating. This is how the use of table became more frequent. Various types of table were then introduced at a later stage and today we have so many different types of table for so many different types of uses.

In the contemporary furniture industry, side table have become an important part – thanks to the large contributions of architects, carpenters and interior designers.

Tables add to the charm and the décor of a bedroom apart from the utility factor. Though one may feel that buying a side table is an easy purchase decision, many a times it may not be so. Things that one needs to remember while buying a side table is that it should match with your other furniture items that are to be placed in the room. These include mirrors, computer cabinets, chest of drawers etc. Also, the size of the side table should be proportionate to the bed and other furniture items.
