Feng Shui and Plants
Feng Shui is immensely popular now a day. This ancient practice has been followed by many urban households. Feng Shui places a great emphasis on plants. Considered as very auspicious, plants must be grown in the house to attain prosperity and peace. Wooden plants are specially advised in Feng Shui. Placing plants in the office is also very auspicious. The preferred directions are south, east or south-east. It helps in increasing luck in your career. Ideally, one should not have thorny plants in the interiors. They act as protective shields so they must be used outside the house. Place thorny plants like cactus slightly away from the door or in the balcony.
Couples with no kids should place a basket of fruits in the bedroom. In Feng Shui, fertility is symbolized by fruits especially pomegranates. Married couples should not have flowers in the bedroom. Never ever allow to have dried flowers in the house. They bring bad luck. Instead, one can use artificial flowers as they are supposed to bring luck. Bonsai plants are another no-no. They are growth impediment so must not be used inside or outside the house. Always try to have fresh flowers in the house as they bring good luck. Throw them out once they die. Plants must be trimmed on a regular basis. Don’t allow trees in your garden to overwhelm your house.
Lemons and oranges are strong symbols of fortune so they should be placed on the entrance. Do not use any Feng Shui symbols in bathroom as they can turn away the luck. Don’t sit with your back facing the door. Try placing a painting or image of mountain range on the wall behind your back. Use these tips and allow fortune to come your way.
